We are calling on our followers and local community to help keep a proud tradition alive: brass bands in the bandstand!

There are fewer and fewer public spaces where bands like ours can perform, and places like Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge and West Park in Wolverhampton should be at the heart of it. These bandstands were built for live music — let us not let them fall silent.

Brass bands, often run entirely by volunteers, need support to stay sustainable. If you believe in keeping live, local, free music in our parks, please consider writing to your local council to ask for support and funding for performances. A small amount of help goes a long way in keeping this heritage alive.

Let us put the band back where it belongs — in the bandstand.
